Tong-IL Moo Do State Championships being organized in April-May, 2012

SRINAGAR: During the 3rd round of annual general meeting of J&K Tong-IL Moo Do Association held under the chairmanship of the President of the Association, Mr. R.G. N. Wani. The meeting was attended by the General Secretary, Mr. Arshad Aziz and Advisor Organizing Body, Mr. Tariq Ganhi.
 
The meeting decided to organize the State Championship from April 10 to 12, 2012 at Candid Higher Secondary School, Nowgam, Srinagar.  The meeting also decided that Association will organize the Junior National Tong IL Moo Do (Korean) Martial  Art) Championship-2012 which is going to be held from May 18 to 21, 2012 at Indoor Stadium, Srinagar, Kashmir.

The meeting was decided that the State Championships will provide better chances of practice and competitive atmosphere to the State players and they will be prepared in better way to face the national talent from all other parts of the country and around 400 players from all parts of the State (Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh) will participate in the State Championships.
 
The Association has already made necessary boarding, lodging and other arrangements for the participating players in the State Championships. The Associations has also decided to elect/select the state level team for participation in Junior National Tong IL Moo Do (Korean Martial Art) Championship-2012.

ARMY CONDOLES DEATH OF IZHAR WANI

SRINAGAR: Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain, GOC Chinar Corps, on behalf of all ranks of Chinar Corps, has expressed his deepest regrets and condolence on the unfortunate and untimely demise of the much respected journalist Jenab Izhar Wani.  
 
While doing so he recollected the high quality journalistic work done by the young and dynamic journalist and his well known professionalism.  In his death the media and in particular the Kashmir journalist fraternity has undoubtedly lost a key figure.  
 
The GOC conveys his condolences to the bereaved family and prays that the soul of the late journalist rests in peace.
