NAUSHERA: An
educational-cum-motivational tour was organized under ‘Project Sadbhavana’ by
the Ace of Spades Division and Naushera Brigade from 26 Feb 12 to 06 Mar 12
for twenty students from militancy affected villages located in remote areas
near the line of control of Naushera Sector.
The tour
was flagged off from Naushera on 26 Feb 2012 and culminated at Butalia
Auditorium at Naushera on 06 Mar 2012 after visiting Goa, Hyderabad,
Secunderabad and Delhi. During the tour,
the participants spread the message of peace and tranquility and closely
witnessed the vibrant history culture & progress of India that these
locations had to offer.
This tour
had their first halt at Goa, where Youth Hostel Association of India provided
great hospitality and accommodation for children. They visited Dolphin, Aguada Fort, Calangute Beach, Baga
beach, Lord Bodgeshwar Temple and Aqua World Cruises, INA Hansa, Old Goa Church, Archaeological
Museum and Mangeshee Temple. The
children also witnessed the sports infrastructure facilities at the Sports
Authority of Goa (SAG).
At
Hyderabad they visited Charminar, Macca Masjid, Nehru Zoological Park and Golconda Fort. The
children were thereafter taken to Secunderabad. During their stay in
Secunderabad they visited Birla Temple, Lumbini Park, NTR Garden and Hussain Sagar Lake. Seeing
the sites & places the children were extremely enthusiastic and trying to
learn the culture and were motivated by the development & infrastructure of
these places.
The
children were thereafter taken to New Delhi where they visited India Gate, Red Fort, Rajghat and Lotus
Temple and were thrilled to experience ride in the famous Metro Train.
The
successful completion of this tour has resulted in developing a deep sense of
belonging to the nation amongst these children of remote areas. This tour has given a glimpse of the road to
better future & development to these children which will become their
guiding light to shape the future, growth & development of their areas when
they grow up.
