INAUGURATION OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE AT VILLAGE HALARAN

HALARAN:  As part of civic activities undertaken by Army under Operation Sadbhavana, a Vocational Training Centre was inaugurated by Commander Sector Rashtriya Rifles in the presence of civil dignitaries and prominent persons of the adjoining areas of Halaran, Jaura Khurd, Ranot etc.   In a yet another splendid effort by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion it provided Sewing Machines to local population and established a Vocational Training Centre for local women.

The inaugural programme was attended by a large number of women from adjoining areas, local population, Sarpanches of various villages and officials from civil administration.  Provision of Sewing Machines at village Halaran will be beneficial for upliftment of poor and empowerment of women.  The endeavour is not only to improve the livelihood but also to provide opportunity for self employment.  To ensure utilization of the Vocational Training Centre by majority of population, one trainer has also been provided by the civil administration.

The project has been conceived for the locals as Centre of Excellence where further facilities will be added in coordination with Sarpanch and civil administration so that people in remote areas and far flung villages are engaged in projects generating money.  School children of Halaran School also presented cultural programme.  Commander Nine Sector Rashtriya Rifles presented books for the school library.  People were very enthusiastic, happy and thankful for dedicated efforts of Rashtriya Rifles Battalion and civil administration who cared for the requirements of local people.
