SRINAGAR: A
service and maintenance camp for the entire fleet of Ashok Leyland vehicles was
organised at Badami Bagh under the auspices of 15 Corps HQ from 04 to 06 March
2012 wherein a large number of army units participated.
Equipment
manufacturers ie M/s Ashok Leyland’s team of experts from Chennai, Delhi, Hosur
and Bangalore coordinated the programme. Number of ancillary manufacturers
ie Bosch, Brakes India, TEL, JK Tyre, Webco, Fleet Guard, Rane Steering
comintouch, Exide also participated.
All the problems on the
vehicles were attended to by the team of technicians from Ashok Leyland
dealership M/s Amco Automobiles along with team of 7015 Workshop. Feedback
from the users was obtained by Ashok Leyland for continuous improvement.
On
the sides of service camp, a programme for drivers was conducted with special
focus on safety related aspects and handling of new technology equipment under
aegis of 5231 ASC Bn. The camp was attended by almost 500
participants from all units of the Chinar Corps and over 350 vehicles were
attended to. Lt Gen SA Hasnain, GOC 15 Corps visited the camp and
expressed his satisfaction on the standards achieved.
