ARMY TOUCHES LIVES AT VILLAGE DHALPAR UNDER OPERATION SADBHAVANA

UDHAMPUR: 47 Air Defence Regiment, under the aegis of 611 (Independent) Air Defence Brigade completed an “OPERATION SADBHAVNA” project at Village- Dhalpar, Tehsil and District-Udhampur on 13 Feb  2012. On 27 Feb 12, Maj Umeshwar Singh inaugurated the project of construction of boundary
wall for Government Middle School, Dhalpar and expressed his satisfaction at having met the genuine aspirations of the villagers. 

The school is located in close proximity to a water body and a relatively busy road, thereby presenting  a constant danger towards the safety of the school children. The headmaster of Govt Middle School, Dhalpar had approached the unit for construction of boundary wall in the school, and finding the requirement  genuine, in consultation with the CEO, the project was undertaken.

In a function attended by about 110 villagers and school children that marked the inauguration of the project, the local population expressed gratitude and satisfaction on the infrastructure having been provided at the school under “OPERATION SADBHAVNA”. Maj Umeshwar Singh while dedicating the project to the villagers remarked that the development of the nation hinges on quality education of children and infrastructure development, both of which had been addressed by the present project. He also stressed that the village must maintain these projects to derive the benefits for times to come.
