ARMY ORGANISES INTERACTION OF SARPANCHES OF KANDI, NAGRI & MAGAM WITH DEPUTY COMMISSIONER KUPWARA

KUPWARA: An interactive meeting for the Sarpanches of Kandi, Nagri and Magam areas with Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara was organized by 47 Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles and Kilo Force at Magam on 04 March 2012. The aim of the interaction between Sarpanches with Mr. Shafi Rather, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara was to address the genuine concerns of the developmental and administrative issues faced by the local population. 
 
The interaction was chaired by the Commander 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles. A total of 35 Sarpanches attended the meeting. While addressing the Sarpanches, the Commander 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles urged them to share their genuine grievances and bring out issues of relevance with the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara in order to derive maximum benefit from the interaction.
 
The Deputy Commissioner patiently heard the Sarpanches and assured them full cooperation in resolving all the issues raised by them. During the interaction with Sarpanches the Deputy Commissioner and the Commander 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles met representatives of Wuchhar, Jab, Bamdogar, Woghbal which are one of the most remote areas with a large Gujjar population. The Deputy Commissioner promised that all the grievances of the remote area would be addressed and local development will be expedited. The Deputy Commissioner thanked the Commander 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles and 47 Rashtriya Rifles for organizing the interaction, which he said was very fruitful as he was able to interact with sarpanches personally.  
 
The Sarpanches expressed their gratitude to the Army for organizing this meeting and requested for more such meetings to be held frequently. The Commander 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles thanked the Deputy Commissioner for sparing his time for the interaction, despite his busy routine. Thanking the Sarpanches for attending the meeting, Commanding Officer, 47 Rashtriya Rifles assured all possible help from the Army also.
