SRINAGAR: An
Educational and Motivational Tour to Srinagar comprising of 18 students
and two teachers from remote areas of Kupwara was flagged off from
Kalaruch in Kupwara district on 06 March 2012. The children visited
Srinagar on 06 Mar and 07 March 2012.
The
tour was so planned to give an opportunity to gain a first hand insight
into the grandeur and beauty of one of the world famous tourist
destination. Children visited ‘IBADAT-E-SAHADAT’
Museum alongwith Chashmeshahi, Pari Mahal, Hazrat Bal Dargah and also
enjoyed the Shikara Ride at Dal Lake at Srinagar.
The
students enjoyed the tour and gained a lot from this new
experience. “This tour has not been only of educational value to us
but also gave us an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Srinagar,” said
one of the students from village Sarkuli. The tour was also well
appreciated by the parents of the children and the locals of the area.
Such initiatives by Army will go a long way in building the bonding
between the
Army and Awam.
