SRINAGAR: Pir
Panjal Brigade of Dagger Division flagged-off a local recreational tour
to Srinagar and Gulmarg from 30-31Jan 2012 for 20 school-boys belonging
to border villages of Boniyar Tehsil. The tour is aimed at giving
opportunity to under-privileged children belonging to remote border
villages to witness the beautiful heritage of Kashmir, widening their
horizons and giving them encouragement for personal growth.
During the conduct of the tour, the students visited famous locations like Pari Mahal, Chashma-Shahi, Mughal Garden, Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and Dal Lake at Srinagar. The tour visited Ibaadat-e-Shahadat museum at Srinagar and were impressed with the rich cultural history of Kashmir. The
tour also visited Gulmarg and enjoyed the experience of Gondola ride
and skiing. The tour was flagged-in at Boniyar on 01 Feb 2012.
