ARMY ORGANISES MEDICAL AID CAMP AT VILLAGE DEHURI (UDHAMPUR)

UDHAMPUR: Army in Northern Command is doing yeoman service in the state of J&K. While guarding the frontiers in the state, it is also helping the State Govt and the local population in various projects. 

Reaching out to the people in the remote areas and meeting their social needs by helping them has been the basic philosophy of the Army in the Northern Command.

As part of Operation-SADBHAVANA, EME Battalion (Tpt) at Udhampur conducted a Medical Aid Camp at village- Dehuri, District- Udhampur (J&K). Dehuri is a remote village located 40 km in the interiors of Udhampur district. 

The villagers had approached the Army authorities for conducting a ‘Medical Aid Camp’ as this area is deprived of good medical facilities. 

As part of Operation Sadbhavana,  71 Sub Area undertook the task of conducting medical aid camp on 22 Jan 2012 at village Dehuri for the local villagers. Large number of  villagers was benefited with conduct of this Medical Camp. 

The services of specialists in the field of ophthalmology, ENT, Gynaecology, Pediatrician, Medical, Dental, Pathologist were provided alongwith Ultrasound and X-Ray facility. Free consultation and free medicines were provided to all the patients.

All the locals & civil authorities were very thankful to the Army for organizing free medical camp. The Army attaches great importance to the social upliftment of the remote areas. Alongwith the district administration it will do all possible to reach out to the people in the remote areas.
