TALWARA: A Blood donation camp was organized by a Rashtriya
Rifles Battalion at Talwara on 24 January 2012.
The camp was
inaugurated by Mrs Sheetal Nanda, District Collector of Reasi. Approx 250
units blood was donated by jawans during the camp to Red Cross, Jammu.
This was first ever event of such kind held in the remote and in
accessible Reasi district of J & K and was highly appreciated by the
administration and the people alike.
True
to its word, the Army has once again shown its humane face and proven its adage
of ‘Awaam Ke Saath’.
The people of the area highly
appreciated the role of Army in organizing the blood donation camp and were
also expressed their eagerness to donate blood. The camp drew an
unprecedented and overwhelming response and enthusiasm.
