ARMY GALLANTRY AWARD FOR TOP POLICE OFFICIALS

SRINAGAR: The synergy between the Army and the J&K Police has been at its best during the peaceful year of 2011.  The success in terms of elimination and arrests of terrorists alongwith busting of terror modules in joint operations speak volumes of the achievements of both the forces. 
 
Keeping in mind the sacrifices and valuable contribution of the State Police Force, the Army has conferred gallantry awards on meritorious and gallant officers of the J&K Police. Mr Muneer Ahmad Khan, DIG, North Kashmir, Mr Altaf Ahmad Khan, SP, Sopore and  Mr Ifroz Ahmad, DSP, Handwara have been awarded Chief of the Army Staff Commendation Card while Mr  Ashiq Hussain Tak, DSP, Sopore and Mr Iftikhar Talib, DSP have been awarded Army Commander’s Commendation Card.
 
Lieutenant General SA Hasnain, GOC Chinar Corps and all ranks of Chinar Corps congratulate the gallant officers for their glorious achievement and wish the police fraternity many more success in times to come.
