GOVERNOR FELICITATES ARMY VENTURE

JAMMU: His Excellency, Shri NN Vohra, Governor, Jammu & Kashmir today presented prizes to three school students who were members of the ‘Aman Jyoti Yatra’ organised by Rajouri based Ace of Spades Division from 20 to 26 Apr this year. The Aman Jyoti Yatra was organised to integrate the youth of border regions into the main stream of society in which 40 youth from Poonch, Rajouri and Nowshera participated. 

On 25 Apr 11, the Governor had interacted with all participants and had expressed his desire that the children should pen down their experiences of the Yatra. His Excellency had assured that three best essays would receive prizes from him. Master Mohd Qudir class VII of Govt Middle School Tai, Mendhar, Master Khurshid Ahmed and Master Manpreet Singh class VIII students of AGPS, Rajouri received their prizes from the Governor with great pride in presence of Army officials of Tithwal Brigade at Raj Bhawan.

“I am overwhelmed and proud to receive this prize from His Excellency “said Master Mohd Qudir. Master Khurshid Ahmed, another recipient said “This is a great motivation for me to work hard for peace and harmony in our State. We are grateful to the Governor and Indian Army for giving us such a unique opportunity”.

During the interaction with the students, His Excellency reiterated that school children must strive in their quest for excellence and work towards peace and harmony in the State.
