ARMY TRAINS YOUTH FOR JOINING FORCES

RAJOURI: The return of peace in the remote border districts of Rajouri and Poonch has brought in winds of change, promising lasting peace and stability thereby opening new avenues for development and prosperity.  Following the policy of ‘Indian Army of the People, For the People, By the People’, Counter Insurgency Force Romeo launched yet another people friendly initiative to train and guide eligible, aspiring and volunteer youth of the area for recruitment into the armed forces.  Aim of this training was to prepare, guide and train the youth under close supervision of qualified army instructors for recruitment rallies scheduled in near future.

As part of this initiative, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of  Romeo Force organised a pre - recruitment training drive at Surankote for one month from    01 to 30 November 2011 for Youths of Surankote, Mendhar and Mandi tehsil.  

The selecteted youth were imparted training on various facets of selection procedure for Army Recruitment Rallies and Central Armed Police Forces which included medical, physical and educational aspects. During the course of training they were made to undergo medical examination similar to what is conducted during recruitment was also conducted for all trainees physical tests, documentation check and written examination. This drive drew an overwhelming response from the local youth and as many as 150 boys of Poonch district got benifitted from the training.
           
Parents of the young boys and local population have appreciated this noble gesture of the Army to assist their wards in getting employment.
