ARMY PROVIDES COMPUTER AND FURNITURES TO FOUR SCHOOLS OF NAUSHERA

NAUSHERA: Tithwal Brigade distributed computers and classroom furniture to schools of villages Rani, Quila Drahal, Laroka and Rajpur Kamila situated near the Line of Control in Naushera on 23 Dec 2011.  The distribution ceremony was conducted at Rajpur Kamila in which more than 500 students benefitted from the initiative. Computers with UPS, computer table and chairs and various educational CDs were also distributed.

The function was attended by a large gathering of approximately 400 persons including Mr Shahid Iqbal, IAS, SDM, Dr Kaushal Kumar Sharma, Addl SP, Mr Deepak Jasrotia, SHO, Mrs Jitender Kour Behal, Dy Chief Education Officer and Mr Trilok Singh, Zonal Education Officer, Nowshera. SDM Nowshera in his address appreciated the noble gesture of Army and urged the students to work hard in studies utilizing the facilities provided by Army.

“I am deeply touched by this noble gesture of Army.  Now, my son will be able to to operate computers and he will be ready for a better job” said Mohd Basheer resident of Rani village. 

Paramjeet Singh, Sarpanch of village Quila Drahal remarked, “There is no computer education in these remote schools, but such a step by Army will definitely give a boost in developing knowledge of computers and information technology to our school children”. 

Speaking at the impressive ceremony, Brig Rajeev Sirohi, Commander Tithwal Brigade urged the teachers and students to take maximum advantage of the facilities being provided by Army to the schools.
