ARMY ORGANIZES MEDICAL CAMP

BISALI: As part of the ongoing celebrations to commemorate the 40th anniversary of ‘Vijay Diwas’, Tithwal Brigade organised a Medical Camp on 12 Dec 11 at village Bisali in Naushera tehsil.  The Medical Camp was a part of a plethora of other activities being organised by the Tithwal Brigade to commemorate the occasion in remote border areas.

A large number of specialist medical facilities including dental, eye and  ENT were provided.  Free vaccination for typhoid and tetanus were also administered and lady doctors carried out health check up of women.

The camp witnessed a swelling crowd from the Bisali, Rathal, Sameti, Sher and Jhallas. The efforts of the Army towards ensuring well being of the locals was appreciated by one and all.
 
Fatima Begam of village Bisali, aged 72 years had been complaining of decreased vision since the last three years.  During the camp she was diagnosed as a case of mature cataract and was subsequently refered to the eye specialist for cataract surgery.  She expressed her gratitude towards army by saying that “she was deeply touched by this noble gesture”.
                       
Speaking on the occasion, the commanding officer the organizing unit exhorted the locals to work towards peace and harmony in the State.
